Sean is an age group triathlete and member of Team PureSport – Triathlon. Major sponsors, PureSport, Champion System, Merida and Vorgee, provide Team PureSport with optimal nutrition, equipment and attire to compete to the best of their ability.

| When and why did you start doing triathlons: | 2002 – borrowed my then girlfriend’s purple mountain bike – didn’t even raise the seat and wondered why I was getting overtaken |
| Most memorable sporting moment: | 3rd place at the 2011 ITU Olympic Distance Triathlon World Championships (30-34 age group) |
| Greatest sporting achievement: | First age grouper at Shepparton Half Ironman in 2010 in my first long course event |
| Favourite training session: | Saturday morning cycles (either through the Dandenongs, Kinglake or just trying to hold Paul Speed’s wheel along Beach Rd!) or Thursday evening swim-runs at St Kilda SLSC |
| Favourite race: | Too many to choose –among the contenders would be Shepparton 70.3, Port Arlington or Sandringham Gatorade, Mooloolaba OD, and hopefully Falls Creek Long Course in February! |
| Strongest leg in triathlon: | Unfortunately my run is a lot stronger than my swim – the path to becoming an ‘all-rounder’ is long and arduous |

| Toughest course you have ever done: | Beijing World Champs this year was pretty tough – non-wetsuit swim, hilly run off a hilly (long) bike; I’m expecting Falls Creek to blow that out of the water though |
| Craziest sports event you have done: | Nude cycle rally through the middle of Valencia, Spain on a busy Saturday morning in 2007 (as part of a world first bicycle circumnavigation of the Mediterranean Sea) |
